JUST ANOTHER DAY

I do not own any of the this, the BBC does.

"Run!" The Doctor really did not need to tell River this as she was already running straight for the TARDIS. Lasers from the Aly-Sha's guns whizzed by both their heads. Just a few more steps and the Doctor was inside the TARDIS, grabbing River's arm to pull her through before he shut the door.

"I can't believe you just got us banned from one of the most beautiful planets in the universe," the Doctor yelled at River.

"Oh she just overreacted."

"River, you can't just knock the empress unconscious on any planet and think that there won't be consequences." By now he had moved to the TARDIS's console and was pressing buttons and pulling levers that would send them back into space. River would make sure to press the blue stabilizers before they landed.

"So I should have just let her tie you up and offer you to her gods?" River asked him in a sarcastic tone.

"I would have found a way to get myself out. Infact, I was just about to come up with one." He had turned around to look at her while leaning back against the TARDIS console.

"Yes and while you were thinking, I was getting you out of there before she was able to cut your hearts out and put them on a gold platter." River was starting to get a little upset. She stood in front of him with her arms crossed. "Besides, if anybody is going to have my husband tied up, it's going to be me," she told him with a flirty smile.

"Yes, well...um," he stumbled. His face was getting a little red from blushing and he had started to wave his hands around, like he didn't know where to put them. River reached around him to press the blue stabilizers. They would be landing in her backyard soon, but the action had closed the distance between them.

"River you can't keep touching my TARDIS. It is my TARDIS," the Doctor whined.

"It may be but she likes me more."

The Doctor was a little stunned. River had been so close that he expected her to kiss him, but she didn't. Instead she turned around and headed to the doors, her high heels clicking against the floor. He followed his wife and ended up in the backyard of her small house. He walked her to her door and then turned to leave.

"Well, thank you for the adventure. Can't wait for the next one. I already have a few places in mind, but no more getting us banned." He waited for her to respond but she didn't say any thing. She was leaning against the door with one eyebrow raised and a smile playing on her lips. Then she walked towards him while saying, "oh I really hate you sometimes."

The Doctor was barely able to say "no you don't" before she was kissing him. Once again his arms and hands flailed around a bit before he settled them on her face with his thumbs gently stroking her cheeks. She broke it off a little bit later and began walking back towards the door of her house.

"Goodbye sweetie," she said over her shoulder.
