River Song had no doubt that Romana wouldn't try; she could see it in her eyes: the anger, , the same rage she had seen in the Doctor. She was like a vicious tornado, about to spin out of control and destroy anything in its path.

Back in River Song's world, Romana was supposed to be dead. This did not sit well with River; for one thing, the Doctor was clearly in love with Romana, and she could see Romana was in love with him. She had heard the stories of Romana, the last Lady President of Gallifrey, the girl who wanted to be called Fred because she did not like to be called Romana; the girl who stole both the Doctor's hearts, and the Doctor was never the same after losing her.

River clearly could not compete with someone like Romana, but she did not quite get it. Romana was not perfect, and yet the Doctor worshipped the ground she walked on. They had a love she only read in those ridicule fairy tales she sometimes had come across.

Was it not supposed to be her with the Doctor? Now feeling like her future was being stolen from her, and River was determined to stop at it at any cost.

The Doctor stepped forward, walking slowly towards Romana, as she held the gun firmly in her hand.

"No Romana, this is not the way." He said gently stepping in front of Romana and taking the gun from her hand. "We don't use weapons."

"I am a weapon, remember?" Her eyes darted around the room, just wanting to run far away, where nobody could hurt her.

He shook his head sadly. "No, you are my Romana, the one I can never live without." He gentle kissed her as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her.

"Doctor," she mumbled into his mouth. Finally pulling away, he smiled at her.

A tear slipped down her face. "But I am damaged, aren't I?" she whispered.

"I am going to fix it, and make it all okay. I am never going to let anyone hurt you again."

"I want…" she started to say, before she broke down in uncontrollable sobs. Instantly he wrapped her in a solid embrace and held her tightly as he tried to stem the flow of her tears.

"I know. It's all right. I will find our daughter." He wiped the tears from her face as she pressed herself against his shoulder, and he held her tightly.

"I never even gave her a name," she whispered. "She would be seven years old now."

The memories continued to play in her mind, her baby in her arms. Her baby daughter, her little fingers gripping hers.

"There is so much I should tell you," she said, touching her baby's face, "but there is so little time to tell you. I like to believe you will be loved and cared for, but I know you won't be. There is a man. He has many enemies, and to them he has many names. The Oncoming Storm, the Lonely God, the Destroyer of Worlds, but to us, he is called the Doctor and he is your father.

You need to be brave and to remember, that no matter how far they take you, one day I will find you. I promise," she whispered.

The clerics along with the woman wearing an eye patch had stepped forward. "Please don't take my baby," she had pleaded. "Get your hands off her," she screamed.

She pleaded with them, but to no avail. She had screamed in grief as they took her, ripping her from her arms, and then she was gone, leaving her with a huge hole in her hearts.

She had carried her baby inside her, safe for fifteen months, and had bonded with her child while she had been inside her. The labour had been long and hard, and she was allowed a few minutes with her; those few minutes were the only memories she had of her child.

She had heard her baby's cries in the night, but when she wandered through the corridors late at night, she could not find her. They were going to keep her from her, and make them both into weapons, to build an Army to destroy the Doctor.

"I'm sorry," said Romana, stepping before Amy and Rory. "They took my child too. She was just a baby, mine and the Doctor's baby, but the Doctor will find your child and hopefully mine too." She turned away walking back towards the Doctor as he took her hand into his.

The little girl followed the sound of the raised voices, and her ginger hair glinted in the light. She crouched down on the floor and hid from sight.

"All this to keep this little girl from her family? Are you mad?" There was a pause before he spoke again. "Oh, I hear everything in here, about who's child you took all those years ago. You heard the stories of the Doctor? All the things that man has done? If you've made him angry, then God help us all."

"Stories," said another voice.

A chuckle was heard. "Those weren't just stories, they are true." The voices got quieter as if they had gone to another part of the building.

Her clear ocean-green eyes darted around the room, as if there was someone else watching her. He was an older man wearing a stupid hat, but his eyes were ancient.

"Hello," he spoke softly to her. We are going to have to play a game, but you are going to have to be brave. It will result in a lot of running. Do you think you can do that?

She nodded looking at him with some interest. "Do you know my Mummy and Daddy?" she asked.

"I do." He spoke in a calming voice. However, Irving Braxiatel did not feel calm. Inside, he was angry that anyone could hurt the people he loved.

He was sure as he could be that he had found his niece. Now all he had to do was find Romana and tell her that her child was safe. Ever since he found out she was alive and had escaped the Time War, he had been determined to find her, even if he had to tear this place apart. Once they realised how dangerous he was, they would learn not to mess with him or any of his family. Romana was as good as family in his eyes.

The Doctor turned to River. "Tell me who you are."

"I am telling you, can't either of you read?"

There's Gallifreyan writing inside the cot.

"Doctor," whispered Romana. "it's-"

"Yes," he says.

"Rory, Amy, I know where to find your daughter, and on our lives, she will be safe," He grabbed Romana's hand and pulled her towards the TARDIS. "River, get them all home,"

"Doctor, wait!" Amy shouted as Romana and the Doctor peeked out of the door, grinned, and shut the door. The TARDIS dematerialised.
