Disclaimer. If I owned it I would of liked Romana to appear in that episode, but not as River Song, just as her own character.

Amy stood there, not speaking. He had done it again. He had left her again, and it was impossible to say if he would come back, now he had that Romana woman, who seemed important to him. She could feel the jealous raging inside her, like a green-eyed monster waiting to be unleashed.

One moment Romana had tried to kill him; the next, he was acting like she was his best friend. They talked of a Time War that killed his people. He had told her that he was the last; was he lying to her? Was everything he told her a lie? To be honest, when she listened to the Doctor and Romana talking, it all sounded like nonsense, and she could never understand what they were even saying.

She walked towards River Song.

"Where's he going? What did you tell him?"

"Amy you have to stay calm," she answered.

Amy picked up the gun from the floor. "Tell me what you told the Doctor."

"Amy, no! Stop it!" Rory demanded, looking at Amy in horror, shocked that she could ever use a gun on anyone.

"It's okay, Rory, she's fine. She's good." She turned to Amy. "It's the TARDIS Translation Matrix. It takes a while to kick in with a written word. You have to concentrate."

Amy looked down at the cot. "I still can't read it."

"It's because it's Gallifreyan; it doesn't translate. But this will. " She handed Amy the Prayer Leaf. "It's your daughter's name, in the language of the forest. "

"I know my daughter's name!" she snaps.

"Except they don't have a word for Pond, because the only water in the forest is the river. The Doctor will find your daughter, and he will care for her, whatever it takes. And I know that. "

Amy looked at the Prayer Leaf as it began to translate, and revealed the word "River." She turned it over, and the word Song was on the back.

"It's me. I'm Melody. I'm your daughter. "

"No, you are lying. I don't know why you are doing this, or what sick game you and the Doctor are playing. You are not my daughter, you are not Melody, you stay away from me or I will kill you," She spat angrily as Rory had to lead her away.

"My name is Irving Braxiatel. Your threats don't scare me. You have no idea what or whom you are dealing with."

"Do you?" asked one of the Clerics.

"Look me up, and you will see exactly what I am capable of!"

"Go, but the child stays."

Braxiatel's eyes darted with madness, as if he was a madman on a mission. The soldiers seem to back away in terror at his eyes, "Listen to me, listen to my voice, you will forget the events of today."

He turned away and walked towards his ship. When he stepped into his ship the little girl was curled on the chair, fast asleep. She had her mother's looks, that same innocence that Romana once had, until Gallifrey left her broken, and maybe that's what had drawn him and Romana together in the first place.

But no, he knew he had been manipulating Romana's life since she had been his student, making sure she was decades ahead of every student in every subject, and guiding her to the presidency; and he had wanted her, the entire time, rightly or wrongly, but he had managed to control himself around her for decades, never once taking advantage of her.

Braxiatel was not used to having children around; of course, they had been his brother's kids and Susan, but he did not have much to do with them. He felt a bit clueless. He didn't even know her name or what she liked, and then he had to attempt to find Romana.

He didn't sense her at Demons Run. Of course, they could have taken her somewhere else, or she had escaped, but Irving Braxiatel never gave up on the people he loved, Romana included.

He never even knew Romana had been pregnant, but it was impossible for her to be his child; they had never been like that. He had been in love with Romana so long ago, been separated from her had destroyed him, but he did what he always did: he started over. He found a new life, and new friends, but he never forgot Romana.

"I thought I had been lucky to survive the Time war, found myself on some rock like planet," Romana started to say, as she remembered what led to Demon's Run all those years ago.

After giving the order for him to use the Moment, the worst decision she had ever made in her life, she thought she could save Gallifrey, but she had destroyed it.

She stood watching the Dalek ships land on Gallifrey, destroying everything in their wake, as she squeezed her eyes shut, trying to hide her tears, but there was nobody to hide them from. The Doctor had gone and she would never see him again. Leela had already died for Gallifrey, and Braxiatel… she had lost him a long time ago forever

She heard the Daleks screeching, and then Gallifrey was shaking; the ground below her started to crack like an earthquake. She heard the cries of the other Time Lords, then felt herself falling through time and space, flying around like a rag doll, and she screamed, trying desperately to grab onto anything.

Then one Dalek went flying past her and knocked into her as she went hurdling towards some black hole, she wasn't sure. It was just a dark black hole, and she went hurdling through it and let out a piercing scream.

"Anyway, last I remembered, someone grabbed me from behind, and then I woke up in Demon's Run, heavily pregnant and alone. Just me and my unborn child."

She was alone in a room, on a bed. Her arms and legs were shackled to the bed, her baby about to be born, and she screamed. The nurse in the room told her to push, as wave after wave of pain hit her.

"I can't be pregnant," she gasped. The pain was unbearable, and lasted many hours, fifteen to be exact. Then there she was, her beautiful baby, who within moments was whisked away from her.

"What happened to them, Doctor?" she asked, looking him in the eye.

The Doctor remained quiet.

"Doctor please tell me."

"They are dead. They were killed and used for spare body parts."

"Oh Rassilon," she gasped in shock, as her knees buckled The Doctor caught her.

"I've got you," he said softly as the tears fell heavily down her face. She choked back her tears and sobbed with every breath, pressing herself against the Doctor's shoulder as he held her, wiping her tears away.

"They're all gone," she mumbled.

"Yes. It's just you and me, the last of the Time Lords."

Braxiatel's ship went spinning through the time vortex. His ship had such amazing technologies that it could lock to another TARDIS within a billion light years away, and it was picking up traces of another TARDIS; but it was still too far away; the signal was quite weak, and then seconds later it disappeared completely.

He looked across at the sleeping child and lifted her into his arms, and he placed her softly on the sofa and placed a blanket over her.

"I wonder what your name is?" he said quietly as he kissed her head softly, before walking back to his console where he fiddled about with the controls. A sudden memory hit him of something he once had:

"Braxiatel, please, you know I hate surprises." But she allowed him to guide her blindfolded.

"This one, I guarantee, you will love," he said, smiling lovingly at her. "I hope you are not peeking."

"I am not peeking, there are no holes in the blindfold," she giggled, that beautiful laugh that always filled him with joy.

He took it off, and there before her was a beautiful table laid out. The table was covered with candles and bright purple flowers.

They were her favourite flowers; he knew everything about this beautiful Time Lady, who had stolen his hearts and refused to give them back. It had taken decades to undo all the Doctor had done to her, dragging her across the Galaxy, undoing all his work when she had been his student. His irresponsible brother had a lot to answer for.

"You did that for me?" she asked, her eyes lit up in complete happiness. She placed a tender kiss on his lips as he stared into her perfect angelic blue eyes.

"You are the most important thing in my life, always and forever." He gently took her hand and kissed it softly. "I would be the happiest Time Lord alive, if I could take your hand in marriage. Marry me, Romana, and be mine forever."

Brax sighed as he pushed the memory away. Maybe it was never meant to be, him and her, but for that moment, it sure felt like it was meant to be.

He was distracted when the child stirred, as she sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"So what is your name?" he asked.

"Don't have one," she said. "What's your's?"

"Braxiatel, Irving Braxiatel. I am the Doctor's brother."
