Jenny lay in the bed. Her temperature was dangerous high...well, for a human it would be, but Jenny was a Time Lady. She pretended to throw up in the sick dish they provided ." I feel deadly sick," she whispered as nurses in the distance glanced at her.

"I don't see why I have to be the patient," whispered Jenny.

"I told you, you are so much better at it than me. Besides this is going give us the chance to find out what's going on here."

"You could have brought Sally."

"Sally needed some time-"

"Away from you?" Jenny finished the sentence.

"She needed a break, let's leave it at that."

"Well you are going to come back for her aren't you?"

"Course I am! What do you take me for?" the Doctor shifted uncomfortably.

"Do you really want me to answer that? It's what you do."

"I always come back. I do!" insisted the Doctor.

"I don't even know why you won't tell me what happened."

"What always happens." said the Doctor with a sad look in his eyes. "Right you stay here, I'm going to check things out." The Doctor avoided answering the question.

"It's a hospital" said Jenny frowning slightly. "They treat people I assume."

"No, I feel like some thing's not quite right."

The nurses were doing their usually ward rounds and they stopped at Jenny's bed. The Doctor smiled sympathetically at her. Jenny groaned and fell back on the bed in defeat.

"About time. My daughter has being sick all morning."

The Consultant raised an eyebrow at the Doctor, but said no more.

"Should have said sister." muttered Jenny under her breath.

"She has being sick all morning, haven't you Jenny?

Jenny sighed "yeah, that's right. All morning."

"Pulse is slightly slow, temp quite high--" .the Consultant said. "Anyone have any ideas, any suggestions?"

"Diabetes?" suggested one young Doctor.

"We could order a CT scan..." suggested another.

"Nikki." The Consultant said. "What about you?"

The young doctor stepped forward. Nikki put the telescope on Jenny's right side of her chest the heart seemed to be incredibly fast. Then she put the telescope on her left side. Two hearts she thought silently to herself, but that's impossible!

The Doctor simply winked.

"Are you having problems locating her heart?" asked the consultant.

"Umm morning sickness..."

"That is a symptom not a diagnostic." he pulled out her chart. "slow pulse...breathless...heart beating too fast... its a heart issue, arrange transfer to the Cardiology unit."

As soon as they were left alone the Doctor jumped up.

"Oh no you don't! You not leaving me here." Said Jenny.

"Someone got to be here you never know you may hear something."

"Fine." Jenny sighed in defeat.

Jenny glanced around the large hospital as patients came and went, her eyes wandered to a bed opposite her a young girl lay there hooked up to a life support system. The machine just continued to beep.

Jenny felt out of place. herself. It was definite a children's ward, she wasn't actually a kid herself although to the hospital Jenny probably looked around seventeen, she didn't really know how old she was in Time Lord terms, having never being conceived naturally or grown up on Gallifrey. As she glanced around the room they were kids hooked up to all kinds of machines; she couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. Maybe her father was wrong and this was just a normal hospital. But then she picked up some words from the other end of the room and they looked over at her. oh no thought Jenny, she was really bad feeling about this. She wasn't sure if it was a Time Lord thing but Jenny had incredible hearing she knew, she just knew they had realised that she was a Time Lord.

.oOo.

Sarah Jane pulled out her sonic lipstick aiming at the heavy restraints around the child. They fell off her, as Sarah Jane made her way towards the bed.

"What is your name?" she asked.

"My name." said the girl softly she tried to remember. "I don't remember" she whispered. Sarah Jane took the girls hand helping her of the bed, but was clear to Sarah the girl couldn't walk. Suddenly approaching foot steps were heard she helped the girl back in the bed placing the restrains on top of her, as Sarah Jane hid under a table the door suddenly swung open.

"Time Lords are a myth" stated the man.

"I'm telling you, we have got one downstairs. a young girl, she has got two hearts." Replied Kirsty. The door suddenly shut as the doctors left the room.

Sarah Jane only knew of one Time Lord; the last of his people. He never mentioned any others, but was it possible the Doctor had being wrong and he wasn't the last after all?

Sarah Jane glanced around the room noticing a wheel chair she helped the girl of the bed into chair wheeling her out of the room.

Jenny glanced around the hospital from her hospital bed suddenly without warning her curtain pulled round and she was facing two doctors. "So, what do we have here" whispered the doctor.

"A Time Lord ."

"No, I'm not a Time Lord." whispered Jenny.

"Two hearts, usually means a Time Lord" said the senior doctor.

"Well, heart condition." lied Jenny. But even Jenny knew they were not convinced. Without warning they suddenly pricked her with the needle causing Jenny to yelp out.

"Blood test should tell us all we need to know within an hour. Make sure she remains here." he said turning to the other doctor.

"What are we going to do with her?" asked the other doctor.

"Medical science of course."

"You can't keep me here." Jenny said, her eyes widened with fear.

"Oh, but we can."

As Jenny managed to scramble from the bed doing a back kick to the surprised doctors she charged out of the ward leaping over trolleys at great speed charged towards the stairs. She knew she had a head start as she raced through the hospital using her Time Lord senses to find the Doctor.

"What do you mean there is a Time Lord loose on the hospital." shouted the Medical Director. "You fool." he spat "and you let her go." he hissed angrily. "Do you even know what a Time Lord could do for our science research. I highly suggest you find them and quickly."

"Yes, of course." replied the junior doctor.

"Well, was there something else?" snapped the Medical Director.

"The Test subject girl is missing too."

"How has this happened? What kind of incompetent fools am I working with here? Spat the Medical Director his face was contorted with rage. "Get out there and find them, call Security, do whatever you have to!" screamed the Medical Director.
