"Her name is SoulHarvest, though her real name is Erisa. That's all I have on her...the only thing I remember is the name," he continued. "Oh, and that she's the Doctor and Braxiatel's cousin."

Damon looked up at Emmaline, waiting for a response but she stood there, her face blank and her limbs frozen. He gently took her hand into his. "Emmaline?" he pressed for an answer but she stood rooted to the spot.

After a few seconds, although it seemed like hours, Emmaline took a deep breath and spoke. "Erisa," she said quitely. "That is the name of my mother. She is my mother...but I thought she was a Guardian. I thought I was a Guardian."

Damon frowned. "Well, she still could be, couldn't she? Emmaline, you really need to talk to Narvin." he said earnestly, his eyes boring into hers.

"As if he would ever tell me the truth." Emmaline snapped, glaring at Damon. "He has probably lied over and over again - to me, to Romana, to the whole of Gallifrey!" As she spoke, realization came upon her that if Erisa was her mother, then she had a whole new family she did not know about. It was just a pity Awen was a part of that family.

"He is still your father, no matter what he has done," Damon said softly.

"He's not my father. I don't even know him, and I definitely don't want to be like him!" she replied angrily.

"Go home Erisa," Narvin said through gritted teeth. He wasn't happy to see her back.

"I don't have a home! It was destroyed by the Daleks. Gallifrey is all I have!" A tear rolled down her cheek as she attempted, without success, to hold back her tears. She didn't think it was possible that she had any more tears left to cry, but her beautiful, pale eyes were welling up and before long she was sobbing.

Narvin hated crying girls as a rule, but this was his wife, and whether he liked it or not, he had a duty to care for her. Duty; that was all it was. Love was definitely not a factor in it. Love was what he felt for his President, but she had made it clear she no longer wanted him.

The room was quiet apart from the sound of her heart-breaking sobs and the rain running down the windows, almost as if Gallifrey was crying with her.

He touched her shoulder gently before reluctantly putting his arms around her. "Come on, there's no need to cry. You are still my wife," Although only in name, he added silently.

"Wife?" A voice hissed from the door. Both Narvin and Erisa spun round to see Emmaline, fury written all over her face. "You are married? Oh this just gets better and better!"

Narvin stood up to approach the girl. "Emmaline... I can explain!"

"Save it," The door slammed shut.

Narvin sighed and turned back to his wife.

"Thank you very much, Erisa," Grabbing her wrist, he pulled her out of the office.

"Narvin!" She cried out in pain. "You are hurting me. Where are we going?"

"You are leaving Gallifrey." Narvin stated authoritatively.

"You can't make me!" she protested as she tried to wriggle from his grip, but Narvin only tightened his hold before he threw her outside the Palace.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" Erisa demanded.

"I have a new life here and you can never be part of it." Narvin said firmly, then he turned on his heels and walked away.

Standing up she brushed herself off. "Well, Narvin I am not easily brushed off or forgotten. I am sure there are quite a few secrets you really do not want revealed," she said to herself

Romana was back at work days after her fall; the memories back. She was a bit annoyed that Gander had lied about a romantic releationship between the two. What was it with the men on Gallifrey that thought they could lie to her and manipulate her. She was strong not this weak little woman who needed someone to look after her.

Gander walked in to her office, immediately taking her into his arms. Feeling his strong arms wrap around her, she knew she felt something for him, but she needed to be sure. He was always turning up doing the nicest things for her.

"I remember," she said softly.

Gander closed his eyes. "Romana, I can explain."

"I am sure you can." she replied steadily.

"I couldn't stand you being hurt anymore, I care so much for you." he said quietly, as he turned to leave.

"Co-ordinator Gander, I have not finished."

"Madam President."

Romana took a deep breath and eyed Gander evenly. "Oh, I know I should be angry. I should be furious with you. I really should -"

She was cut off by his lips pushed against hers, kissing her softly his arms wrapped tightly around her. She did not want it to end.

"Please," she whimpered. "I love-"

He put a finger to her lips. "Only say it if you mean it."

Romana sighed and rested her head on his shoulder. "I love being with you in your company. Do I love you? Honestly I don't know. This is happening far too fast."

"You are still in love with Brax, aren't you?"

Romana stiffened.

"He can never come back so it makes very little difference." Finally they both let go of each other.

"You are wrong, Romana," Gander insisted. "It matters a great deal and as much pain as this would cause me if it's meant to be, don't let Gallifrey control you and take away the happiness you deserve whether that is with Brax or someone else. I saw how they pushed you and the Doctor further apart.

"I know it's Brax...when you were in the medical station you were mumbling his name in your sleep." Gander finished softly. Romana could see the raw sadness in his eyes.

She blushed furiously. "I am sorry." she said, the sincerity obvious.

"Are you saying no to me?" Gander asked.

Romana blew out a breath."I don't know, but I can't have a relationship based on a lie."

Suddenly, Emmaline stormed into the room. "He is married! Married!"

"Emmaline?" said Romana.

"Narvin! He is already married; his wife just turned up here." Emmaline fumed.

The pain flickered across Romana's face momentarily, then it was gone, hidden under a carefully composed mask.

"See there is no end to his lies," she said quietly.
