Bernice finally landed back on the collection. She knew it was time to stop running and face Irving Braxiatel. Unfortunately, she had gotten herself a little drunk on the way there, unbeknownst to Brax.

Immediately, Bernice headed for Brax's office, only to find it empty. Sighing, she slid into one of the chairs. It had been a tough couple of months for her, and she was too lost in thought to notice Braxiatel's entrance.

She grabbed Brax's familiar, old hat, placing it on her head and feigning his nearly always grim expression. "I'm Irving Braxiatel and I rule the world," she laughed.

"Have you been drinking?"

Benny jumped in shock, her smile fading. Brax was right there, frowning at her. He removed his hat from her head and put it on his own.

Hardly enough," Bernice snapped. She tried to get out of the chair, but swayed.

"Honestly, I think you have had quite enough, Benny," Brax's voice was firm. Benny screwed up her nose, opening her mouth to retort back when she suddenly lost her footing and passed out. Brax caught her just in time, sighing.

"Oh, Benny." He gently placed her on the sofa, hoping he'd get some sense out of her when she sobered up. However, he was glad she was back. He went to fetch some blankets and put them over the sleeping Benny.

Irving Braxiatel knew he was falling in love with Bernice. He had struggled with his feelings for quite some time, and it now seemed inevitable to avoid the truth.

"Jason," Benny stirred in her sleep, slowly rubbing her eyes and getting up. When she saw that it was Braxiatel, not Jason, she became angry. "You killed him, you killed Jason."

"Bernice, there's something I need to tell you."

"What, that this is all a dream?"

"No, Benny."

"I want you to admit what you have done."

"Fine, I had Jason killed. I admit it."

"You could at least act like you care. You used to care."

"He was dangerous. I thought if you knew that…then you wouldn't want deal with him on your own I thought-" breaking of mid-sentence, he looked at Benny. "I have something in my head and Jason knew, he threatened to tell my people, to bring them into this. I have done things—terrible things, things I am ashamed of. Things I never thought I was capable of doing." Kneeling, he put his hands in hers, and Benny noticed that he was shaking.

"Brax, what is in your head?"

"An alien virus known as Pandora, right now she's controlled…for now. Benny, I am so sorry for the things I have done."

When Benny looked at him, Brax seemed broken. "Brax, I want to forgive you. I want to move forward but it's so hard."

"I understand. I am sorry, Benny. I should be held to account,"

"Yes you should, but you are on the Collection, You're safe. "I have nothing, Jason is gone. Peter is with Adrian, safe and I'm-"

"You are safe Benny. I can promise you that," he interrupted, looking into her eyes. "You are safe," he said fixing his eyes on her

Benny closed her eyes falling asleep against him.

"Everything is going to work out just fine, Benny," he wrapped his arms tightly around her. "You are mine now," he said in an eerie tone.

Braxiatel Finally walked to the lower levels where Pandora was standing there. She immediately grabbed him and without warning started kissing him.

Brax was too surprised to do anything, and too overcome with emotion to want her to stop. Her soft, delicate curves pressed up against his hips, and she pushed him against the wall, placing her arms firmly near his head, leaning against the cold steel door.

"Pandora," he mumbled against her lips. "Pandora, how-"

"Have you missed me horribly?" Pandora smirked, winking.

Romana still had the tiniest inkling inside her that she could still feel. She just needed to get free. She watched Pandora and Braxiatel both fight for control in their relationship, and while they were kissing, Romana managed to push with the little strength she had left out of the glass display as it shattered sending glass flying everywhere.. Pandora and Brax pulled apart long enough to watch Romana flee.

"You told me it was secure, that she couldn't force her way out of the glass display." Pandora glared at Braxiatel

"I thought it was!"

"She will ruin everything! You must find her."

Romana ran as fast as she could. She needed to escape, but a voice laughed in her mind. "You can't run. You are mine!""

"No, I will not listen to you!" She pushed the thoughts away as she ran through the collection. She could hear footsteps gaining on her. Already, Pandora was affecting her mind and that just made her run faster.

The Time Lord she once loved had set her up, this was his fault, all of it, from start to finish, and finally she crashed through the doors and out of the collection. She wanted to cry but she wouldn't let Brax or Pandora affect her like this. She was a Time Lady and she was strong.

Finally some distance away. Romana sighed but she knew it wasn't over. She didn't know when or how but she would come back for her daughter.

In the distance she saw the Doctors TARDIS and she attempted to get to it. The Doctor would help her, she told herself, but before she could get to the doors she passed out.

When Romana finally awoke she was aware of a calming voice, "It's going be all right."

"No," she mumbled, fighting the person's grip. "Don't touch me." She started shivering and shaking.

"Some kind of fever," the Doctor told Donna, frowning. "We should take her back to the collection to Brax,"

Then she pounced at him, without warning, knocking him to the floor. He wasn't even sure she had that much strength, judging by the state of her, but savaged him like an animal, biting his hand and then stumbling back into a corner, breathing harshly.

He sat on the floor, panting for his own breath and cradling the bitten hand, staring at her.

"What did you do that for," Donna demanded.

It's all right Donna," he said calmly. "She is afraid."

"Romana, what's wrong with you?" he asked, his own wound forgotten.

Her eyes flashed with danger – a warning to stay away.

"What happened?" he said, sitting now with his back to the closed door, making it clear that he wasn't moving anywhere by folding his arms.

She slumped down also, taking long deep breaths as though she was mentally remembering a training session for 'staying calm'.

"An awful lot" she said, looking down at her hands.

"What is the last thing you remember?" he urged gently.

This time this bought him a reaction.

She looked wildly into his eyes and despite the fact they were at opposite ends of the room, he could feel the raw power of it.

"What is the last thing I remember?" she growled.

"Are you joking? The last thing I remember!" and with that, she let out a terrible, bitter laugh.

"I remember Daleks, lots of Daleks. Daleks and slavery." You know what it's like to let the Daleks dehumanise you again! No I don't suppose you would."

The Doctor shifted uncomfortably where he sat, watching his old friend letting madness and sorrow pour out of her.

"I am not free," she whispered.

"You will recover, I've no doubt."

She shook her head. "Not this Time. I have an Alien presence in my mind Pandora. The Daleks are the least of my worries. Whatever happens from this point on you must not touch me. You must not intfere or you will regret it she said quietly."
