Disclaimer I own nothing. That can't be right Why can't I own Brax :D

Bernice wasn't eating. She stared down at the plate of food that had been especially prepared for her, feeling nauseous.

"Benny you need to eat," Braxiatel pleaded with her. He couldn't watch her growing paler and more withdrawn with each passing day. Something was bothering her.

Benny put her knife and fork down. "I can't work for you anymore, Braxiatel.

"Haven't we already had this conversation?" Braxiatel raised his eyebrows at her.

"I meant it then and I mean it now." She got up from the sofa, walking away from Braxiatel, who instantly followed after her.

"Don't be hasty about this," he warned her. "You can't just leave again."

"You're right, I'm not." Bernice turned around to face him. "You are."

"I beg your pardon?" Brax looked at her in shock; he could not believe what he was hearing.

"The baby and I need stability and we're not going to get it with you here. I want you to leave the collection. And don't worry; I'll make something up so nobody worries."

"You would lie for me?"

"It's better than the truth."

"Benny, look at me, you are letting your emotions do the talking. It will be better in the morning, please; you are just scared right now."

"Scared?" Benny repeated in disbelief. "Scared doesn't cover it! I am terrified at the fact that I have fallen in love with my ex-husband's killer and knowing that you wouldn't think twice of stabbing me in the back." Benny took one look at him and began to sob. "I am so tired," she said tearful before she felt herself fall and feeling Brax's arms catch her as his arms gently wrapped around her. He carried her to his room. He noticed an annoyed Pandora in the distance as he walked through the collection with Benny in his arms.

Finally reaching his room he placed her gently on his bed.

"You need to stay calm," Brax rubbed her shoulders, placing the covers around her and waited until she calmed down.

"Do you really want me to leave, Benny? Is that what you want? Tell me what you want and I will make it happen. Command me and I shall obey," he said with a slight smile. He wanted to cheer her up but she looked utterly miserable.

"I don't know what I want," Bernice said glancing up at him. Brax got up from the and sighed

"Okay," he said. "I will send someone up with food later, you need to eat. If not for you but the baby"

"Don't go," Benny sat up urgently, looking scared again. "Irving." The way she said his name was so soft, so gentle that Brax wanted to hear it over and over again. He sat on the bed again and cupped her face in his hands, brushing his lips gently against hers. He teased the corner of her mouth, gently, making her wish for just a little more. He wanted her more than he ever wanted Pandora. As he moved in closer, the bump of her stomach connected with his arm. He stopped, resting his hand on her stomach. At that moment he felt their baby kick. Brax smiled before he focused his attention on Benny.

"I'm never leaving either of you, I love you." Benny nodded, pressing her forehead to his. Her tears collided with his cheeks.

"Close your eyes, Benny. I need you to relax for me. Think of the most beautiful planet. It's just you and me and everything is safe." Benny relaxed in his arms her head nestled against his shoulder.

They were a long silence before either of them spoke Finally Benny asked the pressing question that was burning in her mind. The question he knew she would always ask him.

"Did you mean to do what you did to Jason?" She finally asked, exhausted.

"It was never supposed to go that far," he shook his head. "Bernice, I am so sorry." He looked down at her but she had fallen asleep "I am so sorry," he said looking down at her sleeping form before pressing a kiss to her cheek.

He watched her sleeping for a moment. It soon became clear that she was troubled, and she kept whispering Jason's name. Jason was still plagued her even though he was dead. Brax gently touched her head with his fingers, establishing the psychic contract between them. Being a new Time Lord, Bernice had not learned to develop her psychic skills. It was easy for Brax to find the memories of Jason and quickly erase them from her mind forever.

Instantly, she relaxed and was sleeping peacefully. He gently brushed the hair out of her eyes before leaning over and kissing the top of her head.

His eyes wandered to her diary on the bedside table and without hesitation he slipped it into his jacket pocket.

When Benny opened her eyes that next morning, Brax was asleep at the other side of the bed. She moved closer to him, stroking his cheeks. She felt so good when she was around him; it was like she was going to explode. She felt him stir, and instantly she curled up next to him.

"Irving," she loved saying his name. Before long he was kissing her, and she arched her back for him, letting his trailing lips move lower. She moaned, moving to close the gap in between them, hurriedly unbuttoning his shirt. She needed this. He needed this.

Hours later, Brax woke up; Bernice was entangled in his arms. He waited until she woke up before he started kissing her again. She was ready.

They made love in the bed again, they made love over breakfast. Brax paid special attention to the baby during that round. They made love on his desk. They made love in the gardens, the beautiful birds chirping their songs all the way through. They did not speak the whole time, but when Bernice finally looked up at him, she knew what to say.

"Marry me."
