Romana woke up in Braxiatel's office. It was quiet, which was unusual for the collection. She took in her surroundings; the office had a few paintings on the wall, collected art from so long ago. Her eyes stopped at the photos on the wall behind his desk. There was Aleena, of course, she knew that. Next to that was a photo of a woman with short black hair, somehow, Romana knew this was her…the woman who made Braxiatel happy. His arms were wrapped around her and they looked content and in love. But there was something, something she was missing. She had seen this woman before, or at least been aware of her.

Maybe she was clutching at straws here, trying to find something wrong in something that obviously made her Irving; happy. No he wasn't hers, not anymore. He had moved on, they all had.

She knew she should be happy for Braxiatel and this woman, although she couldn't help but feel like a ghost, like she wasn't a part of their lives anymore. Aleena was her child. On the other hand, Braxiatel deserved to be happy again.

She managed to sit up but she was so weak, only hours ago she was fine but now she felt like her body was dying. She was going to end up wasting regeneration but what else could she do?

Staggering to her feet, she swayed on the ground before she managed to get to the door, before a sudden wave of sickness hit her and a deep intense pain in her head. She glanced at her hands. They were glowing. It was starting.

She began walking, staggering through the long wide battered corridors. Windows and doors had been smashed, precious works of arts shattered lay in ruins.

Braxiatel loved art, she grimaced to herself. More than that, he loved this place. She had felt safe here, once it had been a haven to escape to when the stresses of politic life were too much for her- and during her pregnancy she had escaped here.

It wasn't long before she came across the Daleks. They started screeching at her, when she suddenly exploded into a million lights destroying the Daleks as she regenerated her whole body changing before she fell back against the wall the Daleks destroyed around her.

It had been hours before her eyes snapped open, glancing at the destruction before her. She stood up her clothes hung loosely against her body. She started to walk towards the sounds of peoples voices; she could worry about her clothes later.

Braxiatel was worried. He had not seen Benny for quite some time and this concerned him. He wandered down the corridors walking swiftly, his mind swimming with his thoughts and he headed towards the lower part of the collection he was at the top of the stairs when he suddenly he saw Benny lying at the bottom of the stairs in a pool of blood.

"Benny!" He shouted and rushed down the stairs. Her eyes didn't open. She was still alive but very weak. He gently lifted her into his arms and carefully carried her to a nearby medical station and treated her injuries. He had no idea what happened to her. No that wasn't true; he suspected what had happened, how could he not? Pandora had threatened to get rid of Benny, on several occasions.

She suddenly opened her eyes and looked blankly at him before attempting to get up from the bed.

"No" Brax said firmly, but she kept fighting him. He tried to keep her still, and most importantly calm. He gently soothed her into falling asleep. "Rest now," he mumbled quietly to her. He waited a few moments before her eyes shut and she was asleep before departing from the room.

Braxiatel left the room and had changed his suit. Appearances were everything to Braxiatel. He soon found his brother, Donna and Aleena walking towards him. Braxiatel clenched his fists together and sighed, he had more pressing matters to deal with than his pesky brother and his ginger friend.

"Where is Romana?" The Doctor spoke first.

"Where you can't mess with her head. We had a nice chat and she told me everything." He snapped, looking directly into the eyes of his brother. Braxiatel could not look at his brother. He knew the Doctor was remorseful, as he always was. He did not want his pity. He was tired of clearing up his brother's mess and messing with the people he loved, although he would never admit his feelings for others. He couldn't.

"Brax," the Doctor started, his voice unnaturally uneven. "I never meant to-"

"I am going to kill you!" Brax snapped, launching himself at his brother. "You brought this upon us! Whatever happened to Romana is your doing! It wasn't enough that you kissed her, no! What was the plan Doctor wait till she was in a vulnerable state and make a move on her? You could never face the fact she chose me over you. You took advantage of her!"

He punched the Doctor in the jaw, who staggered back. Brax knew the Doctor would not fight him, and that angered him even more. He grabbed his brother by the shirt and hoisted the lanky man up, getting in his face.

"You could never face the fact that she chose me over you." He hissed.

"It was never like that. I loved her, you know I did!" The Doctor shook his head, struggling in his brother's grasp.

"You know nothing about that word! Don't you ever mention that word again!" Brax roared, pushing his brother against the wall harshly. The Doctor groaned, his head throbbing.

"Brax, calm down, please." The Doctor tried to be rational. "Let's talk about this."

"I'm done talking, Doctor!" Brax exclaimed, tightening his grip on him. The Doctor doubled over, eyes closed in pain.

"Daddy!" Aleena stepped forward. "Stop! Please don't hurt my uncle!"

"Aleena get out!" Brax snapped harshly. He had forgotten his daughter was there and she didn't need be messed up in his family history. She wouldn't understand there was a reason he didn't do the whole family thing.

"Don't." The Doctor was suddenly standing, neck and neck with Brax. "You can yell at me all you want, but you keep my niece out of this. And Donna. Don't you lay a finger on them, or-"

"Or what?" Brax laughed. "You could never hurt me, Doctor. You think you're so powerful. But you're not. You're just-"

"Stop it!" A woman appeared, familiar yet unrecognizable to the group. She ran her fingers through her wavy blonde hair, as her clothes were hanging loosely on her, almost trailing across the floor.

"Romana?" The Doctor was unsure.

"Doctor." She nodded. "The Daleks are gone." She turned to Brax. "They got caught in the middle of my regeneration. I'm fine, Brax. You don't have to fight for me." She frowned before looking sternly at both Braxiatel and the Doctor. It was like always looking after a couple of children. She always had to keep the peace between them. It was one thing dealing with their bickering but things had gone further, much further.

"We are in trouble," Romana said glancing at Braxiatel." They will be others coming and you two are fighting, like a couple of animals. I am my own Romana and I do not belong to either of you. Now if you two are quite finished, maybe we could prevent another invasion." Romana frowned. "And as for you, Braxiatel, do you really think I'd trust you after all you have done?"

"My lady," Braxiatel started to say.

"Don't, my Lady me. Defences now, Brax, or the Daleks will be the least of your worries."

Braxiatel bowed his head slightly and departed.

Benny had wandered in the room moments later. Her head covered in a head bandage. It was clear she had been injured.

"Have you seen Braxiatel?" Benny asked.

"Last I saw," Romana said eying the woman with some interest. "Aleena was screaming at him," the room suddenly shook as doors were slammed.

"And another thing," Aleena was heard screaming. "You can't be my father, I'm nothing like you."

"It makes no difference to me; I'm surprised it makes a difference to you. Now Romana has asked me to repair my ship and that is what I am doing. So please, do not distract me." He answered evenly.

"Now if you don't mind Aleena," he said pointing her in the direction of the door.

Aleena stormed towards the door throwing it open "And don't slam the-"

The Door slammed loudly. "Door," Braxiatel said with a deep sigh.

Aleena let out a frustrated scream outside his office. "Another day with you and I will go mad!" She screamed.

"I'm Romana," Stepping forward she held out her hand

"Bernice," Benny replied "My friends call me Benny. Did you just say your name is Romana?"

Romana nodded. Bernice Summerfield, she thought quietly to herself. Didn't the Doctor once mention a 'Benny' to him? Why was she here at the collection and why was she a Time Lady, she wasn't one of her own people, she'd remember someone like her; at a further glance this woman was pregnant.

"I thought you were dead," Benny explained.

"So did Brax, apparently." Romana muttered quietly.

"I take it you have met my fiancée." Brax walked in and wrapped an arm around Benny.

"How you feeling?" He asked in concern.

"I'm okay," she lied. Benny felt anything but okay, she was hurt and confused. Why wouldn't Brax have told her about Romana? She had being kept in the dark and she knew it. She thought they had something special and they trusted each other, and yet he kept secrets from her.

"You need to rest…you hit your head pretty hard."

"I am fine," she snapped back, clearly annoyed with him.

The moment was distracted as a fleet of ships started hovering above the collection in great numbers. It would of being impossible to tell how many.

"Combat ships," Bernice looked urgently at Brax. She felt cold all over, but Brax was here, wouldn't he keep them all safe?

"Brax, your ship defences? Romana asked, looking at him.

"I didn't have the time," Braxiatel said looking worried before a loud announcement was heard throughout the collection and the sound of marching and screams as people were fleeing throughout the collection.

"This institute is now under the control of the Draconian star empire."
