TWENTY MOMENTS WITH ROMANA

Twenty sweet moments between Doctor and Romana.

A/N This is about 95% Romana/Doctor with slight mention of Braxiatel/Romana

1)Ruby

It was a beautiful ruby ring. It sparkled with brilliant bright colours and it was for her. He could hardly contain himself for that moment when he put the ring on Romana's finger, and once again they would be joined together, but this time it would be forever.

2)Ours

He looked in at the cot with its Gallifrean writing, the cot that used to be his but now had their beautiful daughter inside - his and Romana's baby, she was finally here and now they were a family.

3)Hats

"What do you think, Fez or Stetson?" he asked picking up the two hats.

"You are not wearing either, or that bow tie."

"Bow ties are cool."

"They are no cooler than a fez; you're going to look silly."

"Is that right Romanadvoratrelundar?" he said picking up the straw hat she used to wear.

"That's different."

"Ha," he said. "I will wear both," as he skidded out of the room.

Romana sighed shaking her head. "K-9 why is it the older the Doctor gets the more childish he becomes?"

"Mistress, -"

"Never mind K-9, I think I know the answer."

4)Fall

It was the last day of the Time war when Romana fell, as she crumbled to the ground like a toy soldier. It was too late, much too late to save her. By the time the Doctor got to her she was gone.

5)Together

They were running through the grounds of Gallifrey like a pair of Acolytes without a care in the world. She was ahead of him and then he caught up wrapping his arms around her small petite frame and spinning her around, and then he placed a tender kiss on her lips as she kissed him back.

6) War

Subject 9 they called her, chained in this cell until they had driven her mad. The words they whispered in her ear. "Remember it was the Doctor who did this to you, your greatest enemy."

At first she ignored their taunts. The Doctor, the one she loved, he would not do the things they said as they chained her with heavy chains to the wall, forcing her to fight to play their power games. But over the years they broke her, making her into the perfect war machine.

To him he never knew what became of her, the other part of him, his Time Lady, his Romana but to them she was a weapon to bring him down.

7) Children

He had children before so long ago but the little girl he found, she was part of him, his brother's kid. Well to be exact Romana and Braxiatel's little girl. He had not realised straight away but now he could see so clearly.

She clearly had her mothers looks with beautiful soft blonde curls, but she most certainly had her father's eyes, but if she was here this most certainly meant that Romana or Braxiatel, or both were still alive and had survived meaning he was not the last and this gave him hope.

8)Stars

They lay on the lush red grass their hands clasped together staring up at the stars. He looking lovingly into her eyes. She was so very beautiful, she was someone who shone like every single star in the universe put together and he knew then, that love would never go out.

9) Name

Romana, her name was Romana the Doctor said, as pain registered in his eyes as he remembered the Time Lady that meant more to him than anyone else in the universe.

10) Running

They were running towards each other and this time they were no Time Lords to stop them, nobody to stop their love for each other, finally reaching each other he lifted her off her feet and spun her around before their lips met and they kissed.

11) Paris

That's when it all started between them, when they were running through the streets of Paris his hand in hers, when he realised she was the one.

12) Alone

He had lost her to his brother, the day he saw her smile at Braxiatel the way she once smiled at him and he knew it had been his own doing, as he saw his brother's arms come around her waist and kiss her.

13) Death

To him Romana was dead, as he looked at the woman he once loved in her third incarnation, she was dark and hostile someone he no longer recognised and he cursed her for wanting a more aggressive incarnation and then walked away from her without looking back.

14) Hearts

His hearts were shattered into a million pieces as he walked slowly back to the TARDIS. His people locked forever in the time lock and the Time Lady he loved had been ripped from his arms by those Daleks. Gone forever.

15) Proposal

"Marry me," he whispered into her ear he waited patiently for her answer as she grinned.

"Thought you'd never ask," she said as she kissed him.

16) Marriage

It was frowned upon by the Time Lords that Romana was wasting her life with him, but she cared little for what they said. After all, she was marrying the Doctor, not Gallifrey.

17) Kiss

"I'm working," mumbled Romana into his mouth as he kissed her once again, neither of them able to tear themselves apart from each other.

18)Fight

One minute they were fighting the next he had his tongue in her mouth and hers in his. Maybe they should fight more often, thought the Doctor to himself.

19)Rassilon

He had deposed Romana from the Presidency. Nobody had seen or heard of her since, even Braxiatel knew what that meant. He had heard whispers and rumours, but he felt it deep down in his gut, as did the Doctor. Rassilion had murdered Romana and this time Rassilion would meet the fate he deserved. Braxiatel would make sure of that.

20)Reunion

"Hello Doctor," she said in a sweet voice causing the Doctor to turn around. She was just stood there, her red hair fell down past her shoulders and her green emerald eyes sparkled with love. The Time Lady he had never gotten over. All those years of thinking he was alone, he was wrong. She had surived.

"Romana," he breathed heavily. His head spun. She was alive, his Romana. It did not matter how or why, all that could wait as he softly kissed her.
