THE LEGACY OF MOSES
Chapter 4:1 Lieutenant Blake pushed Indy in the wheelchair towards the MP station, which was situated near the main base gates. As she pushed, Indy looked around him to see the elegant military base know as Pearl Harbor. You could not tell that a disaster happened here some years back apart from the sunken hull of the Arizona in the bay. The war was well and truly over but the base was still a hub of activity. "Enjoying the ride" teased Lieutenant Blake. Indy turned his head around to look at her "Actually the view is most pleasing to the eye" Blake smiled "I hope you are referring to the ships in the bay. Be warned Dr Jones I can defend myself". With that she rolled the chair over a bump in the ground which made Indy jerked causing some pain to his shoulder. "Ouch" They arrived at the Military Police HQ, which had two armed guards at attention by the front doors. "I think I can walk the rest of the way Nurse Blake" said Indy as he tried to get out of the wheel chair. He was forcibly pushed back down, "No you don't Dr Jones, you WILL stay in that chair until I say so" Lieutenant Blake ordered. Indy had no choice but to obey. She wheeled Indy up the ramp and into the building towards the main reception desk. Looking down at the man on duty she asked "Ensign I am looking for Dr Jones's bag, could you let him have it please" The Ensign looked at Lieutenant Blake and instantly he seemed to straighten his back and looked down at Indy. "Yes Lieutenant, I will get it now" Moments later he returned with Indy's trusty bag and handed it over to Indy. Indy thanked the Ensign and looked in the bag and found…. nothing. It was gone the vase was gone. "Ensign where is my vase, it was in my bag" The Ensign went bright red "Sorry sir let me check". He looked through a large book and then looked at Lieutenant Blake. "Lieutenant, the vase was removed by order of the General 2 days ago" Indy was mad "Who the hell is this General and what is he doing going through my stuff" Blake looked at Indy "Well the General is a very powerful man so he obviously had a good reason to take this vase of yours. Was it valuable?" "It was valuable enough to kill people and one of my friends over it, so I would say yes, but I really need to get a look at inside it." Indy stood up "Don't stop me Lieutenant, Ensign where can I find this General". The Ensign was nervous and looked over at Lieutenant Blake who nodded. "Sir he is located in the main block office 3F" Indy looked out the window and saw a large building across the lawn "that building?" The Ensign nodded and then Indy walked out with Lieutenant Blake in tow. Lieutenant Blake pushed the empty wheelchair "Indy slow down you need to get back in the chair" Indy did not even looked back "No I am feeling a lot better thank you will be perfect once I get my vase back" They made their way across the lawn and into the building. Indy called the lift and pressed the third floor. Blake was right next to him still pushing the chair. They got out and Indy walked done the corridor until he found 3F. Indy walked straight passed the secretary who was typing and pushed open the closed door without looking to see if this was the right person or not. There behind the desk was a very well built man in his late 60's with a large cigar in his mouth. "Ok damn you, I want some answers and I want then now! Where is my vase? Why did you take it? What did you do to it and lastly who the hell are you?" The General laughed out loud "That's the spirit Dr Jones, straight to the point. I like that. Ok. Let's see if I can answer your questions. Your vase is safe and sound in the research lab downstairs. After we found you we checked the men with you and found something very interesting, which made me, take a look at what you were all after. It is being evaluated by our current researcher, let me introduce you" "Hello Indiana, how are you" Indy recognized that voice anywhere. Indy turned around to see Marcus Brody standing there with a large Brandy in his hand. Indy rushed over to him "Marcus what are you doing here. I was going to call". "I'm sorry Lieutenant Blake you cannot come go in" came a voice from the outside room. The General smiled "It's alright Janice let her check her patient" Lieutenant Blake walked into the office still pushing the wheelchair and looked embarrassed. "Sorry daddy but he was very insistent" "Well that answers your last question Dr Jones" replied General Blake.
