CHRISTMAS WITH THE TURNERS
Sarah Beth, 6, Lily, 4, and Bill, Lily's twin were chasing each other around the house. It was Christmas Eve and they were waiting for their guests to arrive. Elizabeth entered, holding 4 month old Hope in her arms. "Settle down you three or Santa won't be coming." Elizabeth scolded. "Sorry mum." Sarah, Lily, and Bill said, together. Will entered and hanged up his coat. "The Black Pearl is drawing near." Will said, kissing Elizabeth on the check. "I'll get to see Aunt Beth and her kids." Elizabeth said, handing Hope over to Will. Beth Sparrow was Elizabeth's aunt and she was married to Jack Sparrow. They had three kids: Jennifer was 7, Lydia, 4, and Marie, 2 weeks old. The whole crew was coming to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day at the Turner mansion. Laura, Elizabeth's maid and best friend entered, carrying tea. "Laura. Go take a break and join us in celebrating Christmas." Elizabeth said. "Alright. For the kids." Laura said, seeing the puppy faces of Sarah, Lily, and Bill, who were awefully good at it. Elizabeth and Will smiled. A knock on the door came and the butler answered it.
All the pirates were dressed up, showered, hair brushed, and teeth brushed for tonight. "Elizabeth." Aunt Beth said. "Aunt Beth. Its so good to see you again. Ach. Heres Marie. She looks like a Swan alright." Elizabeth said. "Hi Will. This must be Hope. She looks like Elizabeth alright." Jack said, tickling Hope, who's bottom lip began to quiver. Raggeti and Laura began to act like two shy little puppies in love. "Come into the living room and sit down." Elizabeth announced, taking Hope back. Lily, Sarah, Jennifer, Lydia, and Bill head upstairs to play. The maids brought appitizers, whine, and rum, which the pirates hit right away. "Lots of adventures and we got so much money, we can retire." Jack said. All the pirates glared at Jack. "I don't think so." Pintel said. Elizabeth rolled her eyes and so did Beth. "We'll bring out the music after dinner." Elizabeth suggested. "The British are always on us and we're always fighting them. They don't like pirates apparently." Gibbs said. "No. They don't." Will said, remembering the skeletons that were hanging outside, right when you entered Port Royal. "Dinner is served." A servent called. Elizabeth went up the stairs to put Hope in her crib. Elizabeth knocked on Sarah's door. "Dinner's ready." Elizabeth said.
The kids got up and followed Elizabeth down the stairs. They sit in chairs. Sarah sat by Elizabeth and Beth. Lily sat by Will and Jack. Bill sat between Pintel and Ragetti. Bill admires Raggeti and Pintel. The maids brought out Turkey, mash potatos, dinner rolls, ribs, corn, and cheesy carrots. The pirates had their manners under control. "Marie should have been born on Christmas." Elizabeth said. "Then we wouldn't be here honey." Aunt Beth said. "But that would've been cool, Beth." Sarah said, with her mouth full of mash potatos. "Talk with your mouth empty." Elizabeth scolded. Sarah Beth swollowed. "Sorry mum." Sarah said. "Maybe next baby that we have." Beth said. Elizabeth smiled. After dinner. Desert was brought out: Pumpkin pie, snowballs, sugar cookies, molasis cringles, finger press cookies, fudge, and brownies. The girls had a sweet tooth. "Don't be to hyper." Beth and Elizabeth warned. The girls and Bill couldn't help it. "Let them." Will and Jack said. The girls were getting a little to hyper. "Dad. When is the music coming?" Jennifer asked, sitting on Jack's lap. "Now. Come on everyone. Living room." Jack announced, throwing Jennifer over his shoulder and running towards the living room. Sarah Beth, Lily, Bill, and Marie were right behind him. Laura looked at Elizabeth, who nodded. They enter. The pirates brought out their music. Will grabbed Elizabeth and pulled her to the floor. Jack and Beth followed and so did Laura and Raggiti.
The kids danced together by their parents. Elizabeth threw her head back and was laughing. Will's eyes were twinkling. Slow dance. Sarah was dancing with Mr. Gibbs. Lily was dancing with Pintel. Laura had her head resting on Raggeti's shoulder. "Having fun?" Will asked. "Yes. Thanks for letting them come." Elizabeth said. Will leaned down and they were kissing. Laura lifted her head and looked into Raggeti's eyes. "Your eyes light up when your excited to see me." Raggeti said. "Maybe its because I'm in love with you." Laura said. Raggeti leaned down and they were kissing. Elizabeth felt a tug on her skirt. Bill held out his arms. Will backed away and Elizabeth lifted Bill up and they were dancing. Will took Lily and they were dancing. Eleven o'clock. "Girls. Time for bed." Elizabeth said. Lydia was curled in the corner sleeping and so was Lily. Will lifted Lily and carried her to bed. Sarah Beth, Bill, Jennifer, and Lydia didn't argue. That night. Elizabeth came in and checked on her children. Sarah was sleeping with her book on her chest. Lily was sleeping holding onto her doll. Bill was curled up with his dog, Ralph. The next morning. "Mommy. Daddy. Santa was here." Lily, Sarah Beth, and Bill said, jumping onto their parents bed. Elizabeth and Will wrapped their robes around themselves and head downstairs. Jack, Beth, Jennifer, and Lydia were already up.
The kids head for their stockings. Candy and cookies. Sarah Beth, Bill, and Lily got pirate books. Sarah Beth and Lily both got calico kittens. Sarah named hers Pearl and Lily named hers Jewel. The maids fed them breakfast and then the crew of the Black Pearl had to leave. "Merry Christmas." Beth, Jack, Lydia, and Jeniffer said, after giving hugs and kisses to everyone. "Merry Christmas." Will, Elizabeth, Sarah Beth, Lily, and Bill said. The Turners watched as the Sparrow family headed down to the docks. This will be a Christmas they will never forget.
