THE KEY AND THE HEART
"I didn't catch him for you," I said.
"Well step aside darling so we can finally hang our pirate."
"No," I said standing in front of Jack.
"Excuse me," my father said.
"If you want to kill him then your going to have to kill me too," I said.
"Are you mad, he's a pirate," my father said.
"I don't care, I love this man and I will not live without him."
"Well lets get to it then," the governor said.
"I'm not going to hang my own daughter."
"But you'll finally hang this pirate."
"I don't care, I will not put my daughter in any danger."
"Danger, she's with a pirate ho much more danger could she be in."
"Look I've been with Jack for months now and I don't have a scratch on me.
I'm a grown woman I can take care of myself."
"Very well," my father said.
"That's not all, we need to buy a ship so me and Jack can live in it," I
said.
"No, you will not live with anyone unless your married with them. Plus you have a home here."
"I'm not going to live where people don't trust me, and treat me like a child. I demand you get me a ship or I'll get my own and I don't think you want that to happen."
My father sighed and indeed he got us a ship and I packed up all my things and we moved onto that ship.
"Wow you were great back there," Jack said.
"Well you have to fight for what you want," I said.
"I can't wait until I see my crew."
"Me either," I said sarcastically. Jack turned around and looked at me.
"Back at your father's house I saw that you really do care for me, no one has ever wanted to die for me and that means a lot to me. So their something I've anted to ask you ever since I saw you," Jack said.
"What's that?" I asked.
He got down on one knee and got out a ring.
"Will you marry me?" he asked me. I looked down at him in shock.
"Well um…"
