NOT AN ANIMAL
(disclaimer on page one) (AN-Sorry it took so long to update. My muse left me for a while.) Chapter Eleven: The Point of No Return Two weeks after the inncident, Adrianna refused to come out of her room. Not even Logan could come in. No one knew what she was doing in there, but it didn't seem good. Finally, Logan couldn't stand it anymore. He marched himself right up to the door and banged on it as hard as he could. "Adrianna! Adrianna, come out!" he shouted. He received no response. He growled angrily and opened the door, surprised it wasn't locked. The room looked like no one lived there. The bed was made, and the closet was closed. Not a single thing was on the floor. The only sign of life came from the bathroom, where the sounds of running water and loud music was heard. Logan quietly opened the door. Steam clung to the mirrors, and more of it surroundd him like a fog. Near the bathtub wer a few cups, wich were still filled with water, towels, a set of clothes, and a few plates and bowls. Sitting on the sinktop was Adrianna's CD player, blaring loud metal music. Logan automatically knew were the woman was, but he didn't dare open the curtain. "Adrianna? Can I talk to you?" he asked. He was met with a timid whisper. "Logan, you shouldn't have come." Logan ripped open the curtain to reveal a horrid sight. Adrianna stood upright in the shower, a knife pressed to her throat. She would've been naked if not for the towel wrapped around her. The man treatening her began to shout. "Stand down! Don't fight and she lives." he growled. Logan rose is hands over his head in surrender. The man lauged out loud, and as he did so,he began to change. He began to shrink in heigt, until he was about Adrianna's size. His dark hair became blone and wavy, which cascaded down her back. The clothes became a red jumpsuit and coat. "Jasmine Grey." Logan said. "Of course." she said. She pulled out a small pistol and fired a shot. Adrianna let out a scream as Logan went down, a bullet square in his forehead. At that point, Jasmine teleported away, taking Adrianna with her. Storm rushed in a fraction of a second too late.She stared at the scene before her in shock. She rused over to Logan's body and shook him. "Logan! Logan, snap out of it!" she shouted. Her yelling got the attention of Rogue, Bobby, and Kitty. They all watched as Lgan's head turned to the side as te bullet soon fell out of his forehead and the hole disappeared. He grabbed his arm and yelled. "Were is she?" is voice was in a snarl. He whipped his head to the side to find the shower empty. Adrianna was gone.
