HELLBOY HAIKUS
Author's notes: Just a series of poems I wrote a while ago based on the first move. Each is a free form haiku. These are generally based on the first movie, with intimations of the original comics. Hellboy
standing at the mirror
a bizarre red giant looks back
an unknown self
Trevor
an unready father
for an unwanted demon child
love grows in his heart
Abe Sapien
floating unconcious in water
surrounded by scientists, he awakes
fear fills him
Liz
flames of blue
become a raging inferno
all she touches dies
John Myers
pure of heart
a brave and loyal companion
to the very end
Tom Manning
a bureaucrat turns brave
then shows a demon the right way
to light a cigar
Hellboy and Liz
her fire destroys all
he is immune to her power
a good marriage
