ALICE TRILOGY
Based on the movie "A Clockwork Orange"

She watches out the window
Like a princess in a book
For the filthy birds who come to nest
In the polluted brook.

She smiles rather sadly
To see the black birds' plight
And know just a few years ago
That some of them were white

Her father sits quietly
His sight he keeps her in
To protect from those who are
As he himself had been.

She speaks the words that he used
in old forgotten days
"Malenky", "Millicent", and "Droog"
But doesn't walk his ways

She's kept her promise to stand tall
And cause no harm or trouble
Cause daddy Alex warned her
He would ground her on the double.
