*I DON'T OWN THE CHARACTERS OF THE VAMPIRE DIARIES SERIES * Damons POV I was irritated as soon as I sensed my little brother approaching, even more irritated when he made me depart from Lana for one of his little pep talks. Lana...ever since I saw her tonight at the diner I could not get my mind past her. She was a beautiful Italian I think that's partially responsible for my infatuation, she reminded me of home. "What"I snapped at my brother when he finally stopped and turned to me "What are you doing Damon"he said obviously frustrated "Making friends" I said in my typical smart ass tone "Isn't this why we had to leave the last town" stefen said "your need for friends as you say" As soon as he said that, she showed up. "Let me guess elena you agree"I asked her "Of coarse Damon leave the girl alone"she said "you agreed only blood banks from now on" "Who said I wanted to feed from her" I asked "What more could you want from her" elena spat back Since elena became a vampire she didnt care much about hurting my feelings so it made it that much easier to get over her Now I was being pulled by gravity to Lana...and I must admit I wasnt fighting it like I usually would. "Guess what"I said"I have been playing by your rules this entire little trip of ours, now its about time you return the favor." I turned and walked away before they could argue. Words could not express the disappointment that flooded through me when I didn't see her standing in the spot I left her. I quickly looked around and panicked when I didn't see her. I must admit that I was surprised by how I was acting. No wonder elena and my brother were worried...I was too. I finally spotted her across the club. If my vision wasn't as enhanced as it was I would have never been able to spot her in this dark, crowded room. She was sitting with four people at a small table, I listened in to hear what I picked up to be Lanas friends boyfriend. He was telling some cheesy joke I heard centuries ago. Ha, what a smuck I thought to myself. I also noticed the even bigger smuck sitting next to Lana. He was basically undressing her with his eyes. I would have shot across this crowded room and massacred him if it weren't for the fact that everytime Lana looked at him, she looked disgusted. It amused me but also fueled my ever growing curiosity. Was she thinking of me. She couldn't have been as obsessed as I was, but there was no way that she wasn't even curious. In all of my time I have never once encountered a woman that resisted me. I have never put out this much effort for a human. But this girl was much different than the others. Something about her aura struck me as odd. Everyone's aura is made up of rainbows of colors usually determining what kind of person they are. But hers...hers was a breathtaking pearlesnt white. It was as beautiful as she was. But in all my years I have never seen anything like this in regards to a human, which peaked my curiosity...what is she? Couldn't be a vampire, I would have sensed that from the first moment. Now I had another reason to pursue her. I slowly made my way through the crowd, ignoring the many advances made to me along the way. I moved at a faster more confident pace as I approached her table. As I came to a stop all four of them immediately looked at me. All of them had blatant shock across their face. Their thoughts amused me. Lanas friend was filled with desire, her boyfriend, jealousy. His smuck friend curiosity and Lana was mute. She either wasn't thinking anything or was blocking me, which if her mind was anything like her aura I wouldnt be surprised if she could block me telepathically. "Damon"Lana said sounding surprised. Her friend immediately looked at her, as if she were in shock that Lana knew me. "Lana"I said back enjoying the way her name rolled off my tongue."didn't your mother ever tell you it is rude to accept a drink from someone then bail" "No I can't recall her ever saying that" she said with a wicked smirk. Ah the potential I see in her. "Well all the same"I said "would you like to join me" I held out my hand to her anticipating her response After a second of thought and a silent conversation with her friend, she took my hand and made ny ego soar. I knew sooner or later I would get my way. I led her over to where my brother and elena were sitting but was surprised when she tugged on my hand a few feet away from the table. I twisted around, probably faster than I should have. I'm usually on point about acting human when need be, but I feel more comfortable in my skin around Lana. "What"I asked her taking in her puzzled look, maybe she noticed I moved to quickly too. "I don't think your brother likes me" she said honestly "Well I do" I replied "I couldn't care less about what he thinks" "Oh" she said simply as if that gave her the reassurance she needed. We continued on, I loved the look on stefens face when I approached our table hand in hand with Lana. I rather enjoyed elenas expression too..it wreaked of jealousy. If only little brother wasn't so preoccupied with my intentions with Lana to see that. I pulled out a chair for her, and as soon as she was seated I sat next to her. "Hi Lana"stefen said "how are you tonight" "I'm good"she said her voice a little cracky "That's comforting to know"stefen said looking directly at me I quietly signaled him to shut his mouth. "Hi im elena"she said"I don't think we were properly introduced" "Lana"my beauty said"nice to meet you" "My pleasure"elena said "though I must say you don't seem to be Damons type. Your very strong willed, not as weak minded as the others" I couldnt believe how badly I wanted to rip her throat out right now. I expect this from my brother but not elena. She couldn't hate me this much. "I see" Lana said eying me suspiciously "Did you come here alone" stefen asked lana "No my roommate and her friends"Lana said glancing in their direction I was starting to regret bringing Lana over here. I should have just taken her to a private table but I didn't. I trusted my brother and elena to a certain extent so it was rather disappointing when they tried to sabotage me like this. But I honestly couldn't blame them. I pride myself in my abilities to wreak havoc. "Ok now that you have officially blown my buzz"I said to stefen then turning to Lana "would you like to get some fresh air" She looked into my eyes and for a moment it felt like she was the one trying to compel me. I felt a flutter in my stomach and for the first time in all of my undead years felt faint. "Yes"she answered simply I could only imagine what was going through my dear brothers head. I know that he sensed whatever it was that Lana just did. And im sure elena would have a field day with this one. She may just like Lana after all. A woman who could finally use power on me. Me! Of all people. "Nice to see you both again"Lana said smiling at stefen and elena. We got up and headed out the back of the club.
